The red label offers moderate marbling just above USDA Prime for an excellent blend of tenderness and that buttery-smooth wagyu flavor profile.
One of our most popular steaks, our Australian Wagyu tomahawk steaks are the ultimate in presentation and flavor! Each beautifully cut steak is a richly marbled, full ribeye steak attached to a long, exposed bone. Our artisan butchers hand trim the bone and cut these magnificent steaks extra thick to allow for slower cooking, enhancing all the bone-in flavor and preserve all the natural juices. These large steaks include the coveted cap of ribeye so they’re amazing in appearance and incredibly delicious.
We had several Australian wagyu steaks delivered to our vacation house in Breckenridge but this tomahawk was the main feature! Absolutely fantastic cut of beef. I was worried about the cooking temp but I nailed it (mostly luck as the rental didn’t have a thermometer). The 48oz version fed 3 grown men easily. I’ll 100% be buying this cut again!
FIrst time trying
Made this last Friday with 2 red label filet, I loved the tomahawk! Flavor was rich and delicious!
I smoked then a reverse sear. The steak was amazing unfortunately I don't have a final picture.
I cooked 4 hrs at 139 in sous vide and finished in garlic, rosemary and thyme infused oil with Irish butter and made a homemede horseradish sauce - family loved it. Can’t wait to try the filet mignons!
