CERTIFIED JAPANESE A5 WAGYU
Winner of the 2017 “Wagyu Olympics”! Imported directly from Japan where they raise prized cattle, these densely marbled New York strips are cut from the Striploin. This magnificently marbled steak is one of the richest experiences of Japanese Wagyu there is and, with its trademark coco-nutty retronasal explosion, gives Kobe beef a run for its money at about half the price. Perhaps one of the tenderest steak you’ll ever cut into, the juicy flavor profile is rich, buttery-smooth, beefy and truly unforgettable. Every bite practically melts in your mouth. These have a BMS rating of 10-12! 12 being the highest there is.
Kagoshima Prefecture is located on Japan’s southern island, Kyushu. An unparalleled level of quality and consistency that has made Kagoshima the largest producing prefecture in Japan.
Review of A5 all available prefecture
Last night a group of us got together and sliced up some raw A5 filet and cooked on the Himalayan pink salt slab. It was amazing. My favorite was the Samuri, then Miyazaki, and I would pass on the Kagoshima next time. It didn't look like A5 compared to the others. It was very good, but for a little more money, the other perfectures are a no brainer.
Kagoshima A5 NY Strips
These were just perfect in every way. Split one with the misses and cooked over a hibachi flat top to perfection. The perfect taste from the marbling was outstanding.
This is probably the best steak I have had. Great product and service
Best steak I have ever had
This steak was next level good. It took me a little to work up to Japanese wagyu, now I realize how other steaks should be judged. Will be purchasing again.
I went with the Kagoshima because I wanted something fresh for my buddies first foray in A5. Personally I like Miyazaki better and I think he would as well but this stuff is still great. I brought along the blue label filet, hanger prime, the grant and the full blood American Wagyu Picahna. The Picahna won hands down. That seems to happen often. Anyway the meat was great as usual and on time. I don’t purchase from anywhere else.
